Since our grand opening of the Moshi Moshi concept store at Ala Moana Center, we made it a goal to utilize our space as a place for creatives to showcase their talents and to continue even after closing the pop-up. Not only do we support fashion designers, but we also love supporting our local community of musicians, dancers, ceramists, lei makers and more.

MOSHI MOSHI FASHION SHOW
INVITE only event happening at the moshi moshi concept store. this will be an unforgettable evening of showcasing new designs with a twist on a few old classics. we will be collaborating with a local (hawaii) artist for this show as we end the chapter of our pop-up location and celebrate all of the loyal clients and believers we have made throughout the process.
Be sure to stay for the after party starting at 7pm and open to the general public- drinks, music and socializing with the artist, models and owner of Moshi moshi.
Miss International Hawaii (meet and greet)
Let's celebrate International Women's Day!
The Miss International Hawaii (MIH) pageant is a platform that contributes to the global sisterhood of empowered women striving for positive change locally and internationally. Have a look at unique, locally made, one of a kind products at Moshi Moshi and get to know the many accomplishments of the current Miss International Hawaii, Maka'ala Perry and pageant directors, Meg Akim and Courtney Coleman.
MIH strives to empower young women to embrace their unique qualities and make a positive impact in their communities while promoting global understanding and cooperation through the alignment of the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through their programs and initiatives, they aim to provide young women with the necessary tools and resources to develop their skills and talents, enabling them to become confident leaders in their respective fields.
MIH is also a preliminary pageant to the prestigious Miss International Beauty Pageant in Tokyo, Japan. Miss International is one of the "Big Four" International Beauty Pageants along with Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth. For many years, Hawaii has gone separate from the United States to compete with over 70+ delegates globally. The vision of the MIH pageant is to expand the friendship between Hawai’i, Japan and ultimately the world.

Painting Ceramics Workshop
Step into the MOSHI MOSHI STUDIO and experience a hands-on Chawan Ceramics Workshop. guided by artisan, AutumSierra (founder of Cult Ceramics.)
This is part 2 of our ceramics workshop - if you did not attend “day 1” that is ok- we are inviting you to join us for painting pre-made chawan bowls so you can also leave with a personalized cup you will cherish forever.
Immerse yourself in the meditative process, and enjoy a sense of community among fellow enthusiasts. Leave with your handcrafted Chawan—a symbol of your creative journey and a functional art piece to cherish and use as you wish.
Day 1 (February 11, 2024): attend a hands-on clay sculpting class and complete as many as 2 - 4 finished cups. If you do not attend part 2, Autumsierra will take your cups to be glazed as a solid color and have them available for pick up at the Moshi moshi store within 3 weeks
Day 2 (MARCH 3, 2024): Return to the studio to paint your handmade creations and personalize them even more - the finished cups will be ready for pick up in 3 weeks at the moshi moshi store. Day 2 if also open for anyone who wishes to paint a pre-made chawan bowl.
The kiln - All pieces will be taken to a kiln for both the first and second workshop. Please allow for a 3 week turnaround. once complete the final pieces will be ready for pick up at the Moshi moshi store location with a pick-up deadline of April 14.

Sound Bath Workshop
Location: Moshi Moshi Store | Ala Moana Center Level 2 by Target (doors will be closed during the event for privacy)

Immerse yourself in a transformative Sound Bath Workshop led by Claire Ryan—a journey of healing vibrations and deep relaxation. Through a carefully curated blend of ancient sound healing techniques and modern wellness practices, Claire creates a serene space where participants can unwind, set intentions, and experience the profound effects of sound therapy. Sounds from crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls and chimes harmonize as Claire guides you through mindfulness and breath work to deepen the connection to the present moment.
FUKUBUKURO
Made up of the Japanese kanji characters for 'fortune' and 'bag', 'fukubukuro' (福袋) are literal shopping bags filled with random assortments of goods. Almost anything and everything can be sold in fukubukuro, from clothing and beauty products to electronics, kitchenware and even food!
Shop at the Moshi Moshi concept store on January 1 to get your very own fukubukuro bag filled with an assortment of moshi moshi apparel, home goods and bath and body products. We have a very limited number of bags and will not create more once they sell out.
Best Dressed Contest
Fashion is no joke around here… we want to see you in your best-dressed fit (extra points if it is moshi moshi of course.) Come by at 5 pm with your most extravagant, sophisticated or wild outfit on for a chance to win a $75 gift card for moshi moshi and our latest moshi moshi tee done in collaboration with graphic designer, Handy Yamakawa from Indonesia.
Drinks, music, and photos will be a part of this night so bring your friends and make a night of it!
the winner will be announced in person by 6 pm so don’t be “fashionably late” to this one or you might miss out
Lei Po’o Workshop with Chalayleis
Join us for an afternoon of lei making while learning about hawaiian culture with local florist, Chaleia. The tradition of lei making was passed down to her from a young age in order to connect with the land and the spirit of Hawaii. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to make your very own lei using locally sourced flowers and foliage. Whether it is a gift to yourself or a loved one, this is an experience you wont forget.
The partnership: Chaleia works closely with flying dress photographer, Stacey Williams. Through this collaboration, people come from all over the world to book a photoshoot with Stacey and her team. Her stylist dresses you in the infamous high flying dress and adorns you with a handmade lei po’o, by Chaleia, while posing you in some of the most dramatic landscapes in hawaii. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to capture milestones, birthdays, engagements and more in one of the most beautiful places in the world. We will showcase one of the dresses during the workshop and provide more information about how to book this experience. you can visit her website here
