Let's celebrate International Women's Day!
The Miss International Hawaii (MIH) pageant is a platform that contributes to the global sisterhood of empowered women striving for positive change locally and internationally. Have a look at unique, locally made, one of a kind products at Moshi Moshi and get to know the many accomplishments of the current Miss International Hawaii, Maka'ala Perry and pageant directors, Meg Akim and Courtney Coleman.
MIH strives to empower young women to embrace their unique qualities and make a positive impact in their communities while promoting global understanding and cooperation through the alignment of the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through their programs and initiatives, they aim to provide young women with the necessary tools and resources to develop their skills and talents, enabling them to become confident leaders in their respective fields.
MIH is also a preliminary pageant to the prestigious Miss International Beauty Pageant in Tokyo, Japan. Miss International is one of the "Big Four" International Beauty Pageants along with Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth. For many years, Hawaii has gone separate from the United States to compete with over 70+ delegates globally. The vision of the MIH pageant is to expand the friendship between Hawai’i, Japan and ultimately the world.
